Queen Dee and the Hornets is an originals London based Funk-Step Soul Band.
Combining some of London’s top session players, big band leaders, festival headliners, producers and up and coming artists, Queen Dee & The Hornets were formed under the urge of bringing Soul with a twist and a capital S back into music.

Frank Uhl is the engine behind the music, producer, writer, drummer and MD he stirs the power house of funk in collaboration with Miss Dee.

Formed around the raspy-raw and soulful singer Queen Dee, her band of 7-9 from the London urban jungle and surroundings includes some of London’s finest that have worked with the likes of Gregory Porter, DJ Fresh, Martha & The Vandellas, DJ Fresh, Professor Green, Jocelyn Brown, and Scubaroots to name a few.
In August 2016 they sold out Soho’s Pizza Express Jazz Club with their biggest lineup to date of an incredible 10 piece band.

This soulful funk band released their debut EP at a sold out show at Charlie Wrights Jazz Lounge, London in August 2014.
